Watched DVD: Starship Troopers (Paul Verhoeven, 1997) for the umpteenth time. Use it in class. Gets better every time. A postmodern masterpiece. Total tongue-in-cheek. So misunderstood by the critics. How can anyone think it's a fascist movie? No wonder Casper Van Dien never did anything interesting since, how could he ever recover from that experience?
